Microblading Eyebrows Dubai - Our Guide

Updated: May 22, 2022

Microblading is a virtually trompe l'œil technique that surpasses most makeup techniques, as it does not look superficial to the naked eye.

This hot-new microblading trend helps people fill in over-tweezed eyebrows or get the natural brow arch they’ve always wanted.

What Is Microblading?

A true microblading expert can sensationalize your face with delicate strokes that simulate the effect of real hairs. The results of a professional microblading session can practically last from 12 to 24 months, based on your skin type. Once this period passes, the pigment slowly fades, leaving your skin and natural eyebrows looking just like they did before the session. If done appropriately, microblading results look very genuine and expressive to possess eyebrows that integrate today’s fashionably fuller and natural look.

The Elusive Perfect Eyebrows

Unfortunately, not all of us have the perfect eyebrows characterized by our favorite supermodels! For most of us, the perfect eyebrows need to be painstakingly drawn in every morning, every day. If this describes your situation, microblading could be a potential long-term solution for you. But there are some things you should know before undergoing the procedure.

Maintaining Hygienic Standards During Microblading Sessions:

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic treatment that needs to be carried out with complete prudence and thorough research. Since microblading involves penetrating the skin, the risk of infection goes up.

Make sure the Dubai microblading salon you choose carries out the procedure in completely sterile conditions. There are many kinds of microblading tools, and all must be sterilized before the procedure. Ask questions right away if anything doesn’t look right to you.

Selecting Pigment Colors Matching Skin Tones

Choose the desired eyebrow color based on your natural features. The pigmentation will naturally look bolder and sharper during the first week of healing. So initially, there is nothing to worry about. It is advisable to choose a color that complements your natural skin tone.

Having said that, there is nothing stopping you from choosing a bolder look, if that’s what you are looking for. The microblading results last for about a year and a half so be prepared to stand behind your decision. Consult your makeup artist if you have oily skin and want to achieve a bold look. Oily skin has a tendency to reject pigmentation, so work with your makeup artist to achieve the right look.

Choosing Arching Eyebrow

Before the microblading session, your eyebrows will not be perfectly symmetrical because our faces are not completely symmetrical naturally. The goal of your makeup artist is to achieve the best look that looks good on you. Inform your makeup artist of the exact look you want to achieve. Your makeup artist will show you many options that incorporate your chosen look and you can choose the one you like most.

The Microblading Procedure

Trained, qualified professionals carry out the microblading in a sterile environment. The makeup artist applies a topical numbing cream to the area to reduce discomfort and pain during the treatment. You will feel a slight discomfort similar to plucking your eyebrows. On a scale of 1 to 10, most people describe the pain as a four, so it should be relatively pain-free.

The Microblading Session

The pigment ingrains in the skin and looks like hair on your eyebrows. The final results depend on the type of color you choose and your skin type. Your makeup artist will walk you through the steps you need to take. Make sure you choose the best compatible and symmetrical eyebrow shape after looking at all the options.

The Touchup Session

Microblading is done in two sessions. You can see the initial shape of your eyebrows after a week from the first seating. The second session is scheduled for about four to six weeks later. The touchup session is when the makeup artist can fill in any faded areas and perfect the exact look you want. Results vary for each person because we are naturally all different.

The touchup session ensures you get the best results based on your looks. The makeup artist can adjust the shading of your brows during the follow-up appointment. Using the proper tools for microblading ensures a long-lasting finish. You have to get laser treatment to remove it if done properly.

The Healing Process

The comprehensive healing routine depends on the instructions from your makeup artist. To get the best results, follow these instructions word for word.

  • Avoid getting your eyebrows wet

  • Avoid sweating or heavy exercise

  • Avoid touching the skin around your eyebrows

  • Don’t use makeup for at least 7 days after the initial session on the eyebrows

  • Avoid sun tanning and direct sun exposure

  • Do not go into a jacuzzi, sauna, or swimming for 7 days

  • Do not ride in open-air vehicles

  • Do not itch, pick, or scratch the scabs that form in the first week

  • Do not use facial scrubs, masks, or peels for two weeks after the procedure

Taking medicinal blood thinners, aspirin, or alcohol is not recommended at least one week before the procedure. Try not to go for a tan at least five days before the microblading session.
